Rae Jean McCall, Ph.D., Executive Director
Rae Jean is responsible for and oversees all aspects of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association. Although she is not a newcomer to KCMBA , she accepted the position as Executive Director in January 2001. She reports to the Board of Directors of the Bar Association.

Ray Buffa, Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director
Ray provides administrative support to the Executive Director. She assists in coordinating the Board of Directors meetings, the Bench-Bar & Boardroom Conference, and the Annual Meeting. She also performs various administrative duties for the Association. |
Marci McNeal, Associate Executive Director of Communications/Membership
Marci coordinates KCMBA's communications and membership efforts and serves as Managing Editor of the KC Counselor. She announces and promotes KCMBA programs and achievements through public and media relations, and markets various functions and services to members and other stakeholders of the association. Marci oversees all aspects of KCMBA membership, including maintaining the membership database, responding to member inquiries, dues billing and the KCMBA Bar Directory. |
Lisa Thompson, Graphic Design/Membership Services Coordinator
Lisa is the graphic designer for the KC Counselor monthly magazine. Lisa also designs all other promotional marketing materials for KCMBA including Annual Meeting, Bench-Bar & Boardroom Conference and Super CLE materials and maintains the KCMBA Web site. |
Evan Whitefield, Vendor/Member Relations Coordinator
Vendor/Member Relations Coordinator solicits advertising accounts for Association publications and special events including the KC Counselor, bar directory and annual conference. Evan promotes the affinity partners program and helps recruit new members; as well as communicates with clients and members on ad sales, deadlines, special issues and promotions, sponsorship and exhibit sales. |
Sherry King, Director of Continuing Legal Education
As the administrator of the KCMBA Continuing Legal Education Department, Sherry coordinates all aspects of CLE programs. As Director, she works with committee chairs and faculty in developing the seminars, producing informational brochures, course materials, and seminar evaluations. Sherry also provides oversight to the KCMBA Diversity Initiative. |
Michael Wasinger, CLE/Diversity Coordinator
This position is primarily responsible for working with planners and faculty to produce seminars and conferences. Michael designs promotional materials and implements marketing plans. |
Rita Dubin, CLE Program Coordinator
Rita is responsible for registering CLE participants and maintaining the database of all CLE programs. She assists registrants with questions and processes payments for programs. In addition, she produces financial statements for each program and provides support for department operations. |
Len Conner, Director of Finance
Len is responsible for managing all financial operations of KCMBA, in addition to KCMBF and KCMBA Member Services, Inc. He is also responsible for administrative oversight of personnel, facilities, IT, and equipment of the Association. |
Greg Wacker, Network/Database Administrator
Greg maintains the association's database and is responsible for all programming associated with the database. He maintains the association's network, along with all computer hardware and software. Greg manages the Association's ListServ's and technology center computers. |
Erik Haberkorn, Facility/Events Coordinator
As the Events Coordinator Erik serves in various roles for KCMBA. Erik's primary responsibilities are ensuring that all Bar Center events run as smoothly as possible. He manages all aspects of events ranging from catering to purchasing to a multitude of administrative duties. Erik works closely with the CLE Coordinator, Director of Finance, and other staff members to ensure that all events reach KCMBA's standard of perfection. |
Bob Thomas, Deputy Executive Director
Bob works with all committees of the Association and, further, with all of the established and newly developed KCMBA sections that help coordinate, enhance and guide the work of committees. Bob also oversees the functions of the Lawyer Referral Service and a variety of other KCMBA operations and activities. |
Amy Robinson,Sections and Committees Coordinator
Amy provides administrative support to the Deputy Executive Director for the work of sections and committees and also helps administer the Association’s fee dispute and courthouse security pass programs. Additionally, she records committee meeting attendance, helps direct calls to the Association and coordinates incoming mail. |

Jen Kiper, Assistant Director of KCMBF
Jen is responsible for the law-related education, public service, grants, and fundraising projects of the Foundation. She assists the Executive Director with all aspects of the charitable arm of the association. |
