How to obtain a Courthouse Security Pass:
NEW PASS: Apply for a new Courthouse Security Pass. New Passes require several steps completed in person by the applicant (at KCMBA or by remote appointment), including verification of a valid state-issued photo ID and bar licensure, the applicant's signature agreeing to the required Certifications, Conditions and Requirements, and a photo taken for the Pass by KCMBA. Payment may be by check or credit card.
PASS RENEWAL: Renew your Pass Online. Online Pass renewal requires a credit card payment and the applicant's verification of the required Certifications, Conditions and Requirements. Pass renewal also requires the applicant to have their expiring or expired Pass in good condition in their possession. If a Pass card is six or more years old, KCMBA will take a new photo for the pass (at KCMBA or remotely).
REPLACEMENT PASS: If a Pass is current, but is lost, stolen or damaged, complete the Replacement Pass Application.

KCMBA members receive discounted pricing for Courthouse Security Passes.
MEMBER PRICES : New card: $55 Annual renewal: $35 Replacement card: $20
NON-MEMBER PRICES: New Card: $105 Annual renewal: $80 Replacement card: $35
Please allow 5-10 business days from the date of payment for your Pass to be activated.
Passes That Don't Work:
If your Courthouse Security Pass is not working, please contact us at (816) 474-4322 or [email protected]. A non-functioning security pass usually means that a) the Pass is unrenewed for the year, and it has been deactivated, or b) the Pass card is broken. If you have not yet renewed your pass, please Renew your Pass Online. If there are cracks or dents in your card, you will need to request a replacement pass for a fee of $20.00 for KCMBA members and $35 for KCMBA non-members.
If you have a current Pass and it is lost, stolen or damaged, please complete the replacement Pass application or contact KCMBA at (816) 474-4322 or [email protected] to report your card lost, stolen or damaged and request a replacement card. When a replacement Pass card is issued, the Your old card will be deactivated for security purposes.
